Hiring is one of the highest leverage activities for a leader

Inconveniently, leverage works in both directions, positive and negative.

The people you bring onto your team can be the driving force behind your greatest successes or the source of your biggest problems.

Bringing in the right people will elevate your team’s performance and make the work environment better for everyone in your team.

On the flip side, hiring the wrong people will disrupt team dynamics, and drain your time and resources.

This being the case, here’s my advice for leaders: you need to own the hiring process.

Get help and support if needed, but never delegate your hiring decisions.

Lean in, put in your best effort, and make hiring a priority. The results will speak for themselves.
